Notes: A little something that popped into my head after reading some headlines.
Sam and Daniel sat quietly at their table in the commissary of the SGC, watching as the visiting General O'Neill quickly made the rounds of every table with a news paper.
"Sam . . ."
"Daniel. . ." she replied casually as she sipped at the still too hot coffee.
"What's Jack up to?" She glanced up from the report she was proofing to follow Jack around the room with her eyes. She frowned a little at the stack of news paper under Jack's arm.
"No idea," she said with a shake of her head.
"Hide these," Jack said, dumping several copies of the entertainment section of the local paper in her lap.
"Ok, you have officially lost it," she said looking at the pile in her lap. "Sir," she threw in when he sent her a look.
"Have not," he muttered as he scanned the commissary to make sure he hadn't missed anything. "Oh, I'll be right back. WALTER!" Jack yelled as he took off after the little Sargent.
"Have so," Daniel muttered once Jack was out of ear shot. Sam watched him leave the commissary before turning her attention to the papers in her lap. "Hey Teal'c," Daniel greeted the Jaffa brightly. Sam's head shot up from the papers. She quickly folded them so the front page wasn't visible.
"I think I'll go find the General," she said quickly as she stood and took off from the commissary. Teal'c and Daniel both watched her go before the Jaffa joined Daniel at the table.
"DanielJackson, have you read this morning's news paper?"
"Not yet, what's it say?"
"Star Wars is going to be seen in movie theaters again."
"Again?" Daniel asked, Jack and Sam's behaviour was suddenly making sense.
"And it will be in three dimensions," he proclaimed, a slight smile gracing his face. "Would you like to accompany me when the time comes?" Daniel fumbled for an answer for a moment before finally agreeing. He intended to have words with Sam and Jack as soon as he could find the pair.
